Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç visited the Bucharest International Maarif School during his official visit to Romania. There, Minister Tunç met with students, teachers, and school administrators.
Sharing a post about the visit on his social media account, Tunç said, “We visited the Bucharest International Maarif School and met with our students, teachers, and school administrators. We are proud of the successful activities carried out in the educational institution of our Turkish Maarif Foundation, where 500 students from 23 countries are being educated. Together with representatives from Turkish Maarif Foundation, the Yunus Emre Institute, and our businesspeople, we had a fruitful meeting on the work carried out in the country,” he said. Tunç also expressed his gratitude to the institutions that play an important role in conveying Türkiye’s centuries-old heritage of knowledge, wisdom, and civilization to all parts of the world, saying, “I congratulate all our teachers and administrators who contribute to education with the goal of raising virtuous individuals by putting the human being at the center,” he said.
Maarif in Romania
The Bucharest International Maarif School offers two different educational options: the National (Romanian) Curriculum or the International Maarif Program and Cambridge curriculum. In the international section, where the language of instruction is English, a modern learning environment is provided in classrooms equipped with advanced technology. Students from 23 different countries study at the school, aiming to nurture children from various cultures in an atmosphere of tolerance and cooperation.
