The Kosovo International Maarif Schools organized a magnificent award ceremony to celebrate the academic and athletic achievements of their students at both national and international levels. During the ceremony, 70 students who demonstrated outstanding success in various fields during the 2024–2025 academic year were honored with certificates of achievement. In addition, plaques were presented to sponsors who supported the participation of International Maarif Schools students in competitions.
At the IMSK Pristina campus, under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Pristina, the event attracted great interest from diplomatic, military, and civil representatives. The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Sabri Tunç Angılı, Kosovo’s Minister of Regional Development Fikrim Damka, Türkiye Maarif Foundation Kosovo Representative Mehmet Nedim Aslan, Education Counselor Veysel Erdel, as well as members of parliament, business leaders, and civil society representatives.
In his opening speech, Mehmet Nedim Aslan, the Kosovo Representative of the Türkiye Maarif Foundation, highlighted the education system and achievements of the Kosovo International Maarif Schools. He emphasized that, besides academic excellence, the schools aim to achieve success in sports and arts, representing both Maarif Schools and Kosovo on national and international platforms. Ambassador Sabri Tunç Angılı noted that the remarkable achievements of Kosovo International Maarif Schools students at both national and international levels are a source of pride and contribute significantly to Kosovo’s representation. He also stated that the Maarif Schools, through cooperation with other Maarif Schools around the world, could support Kosovo’s efforts to gain greater international recognition.
Students of the International Maarif Schools were awarded certificates for their achievements in various fields, from science and technology to artificial intelligence, social sciences, mathematics, and sports. Representing Kosovo, students participated in competitions held in Türkiye, North Macedonia, Gabon, Spain, France, and the USA, earning great pride with their accomplishments. Among the events they attended were the Kosovo Makers League, Teknofest, RIDERS, STEM Olympiad, NEO Science Olympiad, HiLINGUA, Maarif Science Fair, Kosovo Tennis Tournament, and the Maarif Europe & Balkans Sports Games.
The program also featured musical and choir performances that added an artistic atmosphere. Appreciation plaques were presented to the Kosovo Turkish Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) and various institutions for their support of international competitions. The ceremony concluded with a group photo of guests, students, and teachers.
