Within the scope of the EU Projects “Connectivity” Project, and with the contributions of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the “Bishkek FIRST Regional 2025” International Robotics Championship was held on 13–14 December 2025, hosted by the Maarif Education Complex.
The event, having both regional and international significance, brought together more than 350 participants. A total of 28 teams from Kazakhstan and 27 teams from Kyrgyzstan took part in the championship. The organization served as an important platform aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge and skills in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
The competitions were held in the FIRST LEGO League Explore, FIRST LEGO League Challenge, and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) categories.
International Achievements by Maarif Teams
Teams from the Maarif Education Complex attracted attention with their outstanding performance in the championship. The “Maarif Prime” team won the Champions Award Finalist and earned the right to participate in an international competition to be held in Bulgaria. The “T-Rex” team qualified for a competition in China with its success in the same category. Meanwhile, the “AnacondaX” team won the Inspire Award Winner and will represent their country at the international competition in China.
“Bishkek FIRST Regional 2025” stands out as an exemplary event that contributes to the development of young people’s innovative thinking, engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, thanks to the contributions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, the support of international partners, and the organizational capacity of the Maarif Education Complex.
