Turkish Maarif Foundation Organized an Education Fair in Morocco with the Participation of 16 Universities

Turkish Maarif Foundation organized an education fair in Morocco to promote Turkish universities and educational opportunities.


Turkish Maarif Foundation organized an education fair in Casablanca and Marrakech, Morocco with the participation of 16 Turkish universities. The fair was an important event where Turkish universities were introduced and Moroccan students had the opportunity to learn about educational opportunities in Turkish.


Bingöl, Kayseri, Kastamonu, Yozgat Bozok University, TED, Doğuş, Istanbul Commerce, Bursa Uludağ, İstinye, Nişantaşı, Beykent, Atılım, Yüksek İhtisas, Istanbul Kent, Istanbul Gelişim and OSTİM Technical Universities participated in the third Turkish Universities Education Fair in Morocco. In addition, Rabat Yunus Emre Institute, Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and Turkish Airlines also provided information at the fair.


Mustafa İlker Kılıç, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Rabat, stated in his opening speech that there are 5 thousand Moroccan students studying in Türkiye and that he believes this number will increase in the future. Kılıç said that he attended the fair for the second time and found it useful, emphasizing the interest of Turkish universities in Moroccan students.

The fair allowed Moroccan students, especially at the senior high school level, to meet with university representatives for university planning and find answers to their questions. Students spent time at the stands and received detailed information about educational opportunities in Türkiye.


Turkish Maarif Foundation Board Member Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özkan stated that the fair supports the deepening efforts in Türkiye-Africa, Türkiye-North Africa and Türkiye-Morocco relations in particular, and expressed that the interest in the event was high. Özkan emphasized that the education fair aims to increase the number of Moroccan students in Türkiye and that such educational cooperation can have positive results.


The Turkish Universities Education Fair, which was met with great interest, is expected to increase the number of foreign students who want to study in Türkiye.
