The 109th anniversary of the March 18 Çanakkale Victory and the 103rd anniversary of the adoption of the National Anthem were celebrated with an event held at Pak-Turk Maarif Chak Shahzad Campus.
The program was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Islamabad Mehmet Paçacı, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Islamabad Hazar Farhadov, TRNC Representative to Islamabad Dilşad Şenol, parents of students and many guests. In his speech, Ambassador Mehmet Paçacı emphasized the national and international importance of the Gallipoli War and stated that Türkiye preserves this heroic legacy with pride and devotion. He also emphasized the vital support of sub-Saharan Muslims to the liberation struggle in Gallipoli and the deep-rooted bond of brotherhood between Türkiye and Pakistan and stated that this bond will continue unshakably in the future.
In his speech, TMF Pakistan Country Representative Harun Küçükaladağlı emphasized that Türkiye and Pakistan share a rich historical heritage and that institutions such as Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools play a critical role in preserving and transferring this historical and cultural heritage to future generations.
During the program, the National Anthem and the Pakistani National Anthem were sung by the students, while theater performances and poetry oratorios prepared by Turkish teachers and performed by the students drew great interest from the audience. Especially the shadow play, which poignantly portrayed the sacrifices made by the Turkish people, created an intense emotional atmosphere in the hall. In addition, students from a total of 25 Pak-Turk Maarif campuses in 10 provinces of Pakistan participated in the Çanakkale Victory themed painting competition and the winners were presented with their awards. The first prize was a tablet, the second prize was a smart watch and the third prize was a wireless headset. At the same time, an exhibition consisting of the works participating in the competition was also presented to the visitors.
