 EXPLICIT CONSENT FORM FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

FOR THE MAARIF TURKISH LANGUAGE DEBATE FINAL PROGRAM

I hereby confirm that I have read and understood the Privacy Notice on the Processing of Personal Data for the Maarif Turkish Language Debate Final Program (“Privacy Notice”) annexed to this document, and that I have been adequately and comprehensively informed regarding the purposes, scope, and methods of processing of the personal data of the participant under my legal responsibility.

I give my explicit consent to the processing of personal data belonging to the participant(s)—specifically within the categories of identity information, contact details, image (photographs and video recordings), voice and audio data, visual recordings—by the Turkish Maarif Foundation (hereinafter referred to as “MAARIF”), as data controller, for the purposes of:

  • enabling participation in the Maarif Turkish Language Debate Final Program and all related activities;
  • producing, recording, broadcasting, re-broadcasting, and promoting the Program on national television, online platforms, social media accounts, and other public or institutional promotions;
  • preparing and publishing media content, advertising, promotional, and communication materials related to the Program, in all formats and channels;
  • carrying out all administrative, organizational, technical, and legal steps related to the planning, execution, and archiving of the Program and the participation of the student, parent/ guardian, teacher (“Participants”).

 

I acknowledge that, although such transfers extend beyond MAARIF’s direct area of responsibility, the third countries or international platforms to which my personal data (or those of the participant) may be transferred—particularly for the production, broadcast, and promotion of the “Maarif Türkçe Münazara Finali” (Maarif Turkish Language Debate Final) Program—may not always meet data protection standards equivalent to those of Türkiye or the European Union. I understand that, once my image, voice, or other personal data have been broadcast or published on television or public platforms, MAARIF cannot guarantee their complete removal from all channels or third-party republications; however, MAARIF will take all reasonable steps to address my rights requests as set out in the Privacy Notice. I further understand that I may withdraw this explicit consent at any time, following the procedures described in the Privacy Notice, with no retroactive effect on processing or broadcasts already completed.

I hereby give my explicit consent, within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law of the Republic of Türkiye No. 6698 and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (“the Law”) and the applicable secondary legislation, to the processing of my above-mentioned personal data by MAARIF for the purposes of their public broadcast and promotion as part of the “Maarif Türkçe Münazara Finali” (Maarif Turkish Language Debate Final) Program; and to their transfer—in accordance with the data transfer conditions set forth in the Law—the entities specified in the Privacy Notice, namely: entities affiliated with or subordinated to MAARIF (“the Maarif Community”), business partners, subcontractors, sponsors, broadcasters, media production companies, advertising agencies, digital and social media platforms, consultancy firms, and service providers, as well as to natural and/or legal persons located within or outside the country, with whom MAARIF collaborates or from whom it receives services for the continuation of its products, services, and the public/institutional promotion of the Program.
