The International Maarif School of Kalkandelen in the city of Kalkandelen in North Macedonia hosted the "Europe and Balkans Maarif Football Tournament", which was organised for the first time this year and attended by young talents from nine different countries.
Albania came first in the tournament organised at the International Maarif School in Kalkandelen.
Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMF) Board Member Ali Çiçek emphasised that the foundation attaches great importance to social and cultural activities as well as education and academic activities, and stated that such big organisations are organised to enable students to improve themselves in extracurricular activities.
The success of the tournament set an example for new similar events and it was decided to continue it in the coming years. This decision shows that the tournament, which aims to reinforce the friendship and brotherhood relations between Maarif Schools, contributes to strengthening not only sports but also cultural and social interaction.
The students of Albania Maarif School, the champion of the tournament, received the championship trophy from the hands of Fatih Ulusoy, Ambassador of Türkiye to Skopje. Mr Çiçek, Member of the Board of Directors of TMF, added that although there was only one champion of the tournament, there was no loser and the main goal was to strengthen the friendship and brotherhood between the Maarif Schools.
