Somali Education Bulletin – November 2025 Issue Now Available!

November 15, 2025

We are proud and delighted to share with you the first digital newsletter prepared by Somali Maarif Schools.

Our November 2025 issue reflects the educational, cultural, artistic, and social activities carried out in our schools throughout the 2024–2025 academic year, showcasing a year of hard work, development, and success at Maarif schools in Somalia.

Value in Education, Depth in Culture

In this issue, we feature work that focuses on our students' development and prioritizes values education in the learning process. The educational approach implemented in Maarif schools is based on the goal of raising knowledgeable, virtuous individuals who are attached to their culture. In this context, our newsletter includes the meaning of education in Somalia, teachers' experiences, and examples of best practices in the classroom.

The Theme of Unity and Love in the Year of the Family

With the declaration of 2025 as the “Year of the Family,” our students produced writings, drawings, and activities centered on the values of family love, belonging, solidarity, and sharing. The work prepared within the framework of this special theme forms the strongest emotional aspect of our newsletter. The lines penned by our students and their colorful drawings reflect the warmth and universal meaning of family from the perspective of the Somali Maarif family.

Culture, Art, and Tradition

In our November issue, we also devoted considerable space to the colorful world of Somali culture. We shed light on Somalia's cultural riches through traditional folk dances, local culinary culture, poetry, and art articles. These sections contribute to our students' understanding of the values of the lands they live in and aim to build bridges between Turkish and Somali cultures.

Events, Projects, and Sharing

Official visits, special holiday celebrations, and cultural days held throughout the year are also among the important topics covered in our newsletter. From April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day to our students' international “Pen Pal” project, the energy, productivity, and participation of Somali Maarif students stand out in many events. Each page reflects the strong communication between students, teachers, and parents at Somali Maarif Schools.

A Maarif Story of Growing Together

This newsletter is a record of the educational journey, shared efforts, and common goals pursued by the Somali Maarif family throughout the year. This story, which grows with the success of each student, the efforts of each teacher, and the support of each parent, once again demonstrates the strong presence of the Maarif Foundation in Somalia.
