Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani received the students of Kosovo International Maarif Schools who won medals at the International STEM Olympics organized last year in The Hague, Netherlands.
In a written statement made by the Kosovo Presidency, it was stated that President Osmani hosted 14 students who won 19 medals at the International STEM Olympics at the Presidential Office.
“During the meeting, President Osmani congratulated the students for their outstanding achievement. This success shows the dedication of them and the Kosovo International Maarif Schools educational institution, which is part of a network operating in more than 43 countries around the world.”
Undersecretary of the Embassy of Türkiye in Pristina Şeyda Çimeli Aydın, Director of the Pristina Branch of Kosovo International Maarif Schools Ömer Akpınar and Director of the Prizren Branch İbrahim Bucak were also present at the meeting.
600 Students Participated
Last year's grand finale of the International STEM Olympics was held in The Hague, Netherlands, with the participation of approximately 600 students from 117 countries in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Kosovo International Maarif Schools students won a total of 19 medals at the International STEM Olympics, including the world first place in the science category.
More than 750 students are studying in Pristina and Prizren branches of Kosovo International Maarif Schools, which started its educational activities in 2017.
