The Turkish Maarif Schools in Sudan hosted a graduation ceremony for students who completed the primary school in the 2021-2022 academic year. The event, which took place at the school campus in the capital Khartoum, was attended by the Foundation’s country representative, Mehmet Nedim Aslan, as well as representatives from Turkish institutions in Sudan, students and parents. The colorful ceremony featured musical performances and dances by the graduates.
Speaking at the event, Mehmet Nedim Aslan said that the school was due to produce 139 graduates from kindergarten, 86 graduates from its primary school, and 151 graduates from its high school. Noting that there is a lot of interest in the institution, Aslan spoke as follows: “That interest makes us happy. Our school is among the providers of top quality education in Sudan and we aim to further improve our quality.”
The Turkish Maarif Schools operate in the capital Khartoum as well as the city of Nyala in western Sudan. The institutions, which have been active since the 2017-2018 academic year, provide education to approximately 2000 Sudanese, Turkish, Yemeni, Egyptian, Syrian and Iraqi students.
