Turkish Maarif Foundation Came Together with Non-Governmental Organizations


"The 2nd Consultation Meeting on Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations" was organized online by Turkish Maarif Foundation.

The meeting was attended by 21 representatives of non-governmental organizations, including Turkish Red Crescent, Green Crescent and Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, operating in the country and abroad in areas such as education, culture, health and humanitarian aid, and who signed a cooperation protocol with Turkish Maarif Foundation.

TMF President Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün explained that the Foundation was providing educational services abroad on behalf of the Republic of Turkey, based on the common knowledge and values of humanity and continued its activities by cooperating with 22 public institutions, 76 universities, 43 non-governmental organizations, 14 educational institutions and private enterprises, and 155 organizations.

Pointing to the 2023 goals of Turkish Maarif Foundation, Akgün said, "Our Foundation will continue its activities according to the 2020-2023 Strategic Plan by improving the corporate culture and quality, ensuring financial competences, strengthening human resources and becoming an international brand in education. It is aimed to be active in at least half of the member countries of the United Nations by 2023." 

Following Akgün's speech, TMF Board of Directors Mustafa Çaltılı made a presentation on the cooperation activities and the results obtained during the First Consultation Meeting. 

In the last part of the program moderated by TMF Board of Trustees Member Selim Cerrah, NGO representatives expressed their views and suggestions on cooperation activities.
