Turkey-Sudan Education and Culture Fair, hosted by Sudan Maarif Schools, started in Maarif Schools in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, on January 5-6.
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV), Yunus Emre Institution (YEE), Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Art and Vocational Training Courses (ISMEK) and from Turkey 7 and from Sudan 6 universities opened their stands in the organization where the main objective is to reinforce the friendship atmosphere.
TMF Head of Social-Cultural Activities and Consultancy Department Hamza Özdemir, TMF Head of Graduate Follow-up Department Ali Arıkmert and local and foreign representatives of NGOs participated in the organization which started with the opening speeches of Turkey’s ambassador in Khartoum İrfan Neziroğlu, 1st assistant of Sudan President İbrahim Senusi and Minister of Health of Sudan Bahar Idris Abu Garda.
After the opening speeches, participants visited all stands together. Turkish Movies screening, promotion of Turkish foods, Classical Turkish Music recital were carried out in the fair where Glass-blowing Art, Ebru (Paper Marbling) Art, Jewelry Art and painting exhibition were also performed.
Turkey-Sudan Education and Culture Fair, which attracted great deal of attention from Sudanese people, is going to end tomorrow evening.
