With the arrival of September and the opening of schools, enthusiasm for the start of the school year has been felt within the Maarif Schools of the World (present in 44 countries around the World). In Romania, the 2021-2022 school year opening program got off to a lively start.
The event was attended by Turkish Ambassador Füsun Aramaz, Education Advisor Seyfi Özkan, Commercial Attaché Sude Gürcan, Consul Eda Akkuş, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute, Mustafa Yıldız, President of the TIAD (Institution of Management and Supervision), the heads of other Turkish missions and the inspectors of National Education of Romania.
The opening program of the Maarif Schools, which started education with 450 students and an experienced educational team, began with the inauguration speech of the Foundation’s country representative in Romania, Alparslan Ateş and ended with the wishes of the inspectors of National Education in Romania.
On the menu : surprise peeformances by music teachers and speeches by the best students. The program, which took place within the scope of the COVID-19 measures, in which parents also participated, enden with the admission of the students to the classes.
Seven schools operate in Romania, the country where the Turkish Maarif Foundation opened the first formal education institution at the K12 level among the European countries.
Highly valued by the Turkish community active in the field of commerce and business in particular, these schools are also an important alternative in terms of children’s sense of belonging to Turkish culture and language.
